Power and LED wiring

WARNING

Before attempting any wire connections, it is imperative to ensure that the A1-SLWF-03 WLED Controller, as well as any associated power sources or devices, are completely powered off. This precaution is crucial to prevent any electrical hazards, protect the device and LED strip from potential damage, and ensure your safety.

There are different adressable LED strips:

  • 3 wires (which are + (or VCC), Data and - (GND)) lines.
  • 4 wires (which are + (or VCC), Data, Clock and - (GND)) lines.

There are many different options for connections, the following rules should be ALWAYS satisfied:

  • Data (and Clock if any) line(s) ashould be connected to the A1-SLWF-03;
  • GND line should be connected to the A1-SLWF-03;
    VCC is not necessary can be connected to the controller directly, so you can power your LED strip separatelly.

Screwdriver for screw terminal is included in the packing!

Powering A1-SLWF-03

WARNING

If your SLWF-03 LED Controller is powered via DC plug or screw terminal, do not connect it to your laptop or USB power plug using the Type-C port. This is to prevent potential damage to the device. So Either DC/Screw terminal OR Type-C.

In general, SLWF-03 can be powered via:

  1. Type-C plug (or micro-USB with inlcued microUSB-to-Type-C adapter);
  2. via DC plug;
  3. Directly through screw-terminal;

Type-C powering

  • Can be used by any Type-C power supply. If your power supply delivers PD or other advances power delivery technics with more than 5V, SLWF-03 will take 5V;
  • Can intake 50W (10A) via Type-C and deliver them to LED strips;
  • Can use laptop, phone charger, powerbank or any other means of power supply for powering via Type-C;

WARNING

If your SLWF-03 LED Controller is powered via DC plug or screw terminal, do not connect it to your laptop or USB power plug using the Type-C port. This is to prevent potential damage to the device. So Either DC/Screw terminal OR Type-C.

DC plug powering

  • Can be used for powering any power supply from 5V to 24V with limitation to 200W total power.
  • DC male plug should have size 5.5 x 2.1 mm and have VCC on the internal ping and GND on external layer.

Screw terminal powering

  • Can be used for powering any power supply from 5V to 24V with limitation to 200W total power.
  • Screwdrive is included in the product package.

LED strip connection

3 wires strips (VCC, Data and GND lines)

  1. One strip direct connection: . .

  2. Two LED strips connection: WLED firmware supports control of two or more LED strips connected to different GPIOs of your WLED controller. .
