All of the following are integrated on a single compact board:

BlockFunction
Wi-Fi SoCESP8266 (ESP-12x module), running WLED / ESPHome over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
LED outputsLevel-shifted Data and Clock lines at 5 V logic
IR receiver38 kHz infrared receiver for remote control
ButtonOn-board push button (manual control + flash-mode entry)
Status LEDsTwo on-board indicator LEDs
ProgrammerBuilt-in USB-to-UART bridge with automatic flashing
PowerWide-input regulation feeding the logic from Type-C, DC jack or screw terminal
DIY headerSpare GPIOs + ADC + 3.3 V + GND for expansion

Connectors at a glance

  • USB Type-C — 5 V power and firmware flashing.
  • DC barrel jack — 5.5 × 2.1 mm, VCC on the inner pin.
  • Screw terminal — strip power (VCC), GND, Data and Clock.
  • DIY expansion header — see §9 Pinout.

Firmware & GPIO map Default WLED assignments: Data → GPIO2, Clock → GPIO12, IR → GPIO4, Button → GPIO0, status LEDs → GPIO14 / GPIO16. Full pinout in §9.
