| Powers on but LEDs dark | Data/GND wiring or wrong LED type/count | Check Data + shared GND, set LED type/count in WLED |
No WLED-AP hotspot | Already joined a previous network | Reset Wi-Fi (WLED recovery) to re-broadcast the AP |
| Won't join home Wi-Fi | Wrong credentials or 5 GHz network | Verify SSID/password; use a 2.4 GHz SSID |
| Flicker / wrong colors | Voltage drop, poor ground, color-order mismatch | Power injection, common GND, set correct color order |
| Only first LEDs light | Insufficient power or wrong count | Larger supply; set correct LED count |
| Web UI unreachable | Corrupt firmware | Re-flash the correct ESP8266 build over USB |
| IR remote not responding | IR not enabled in WLED | Enable IR (GPIO4) and select the correct remote type |
