The SMLIGHT SLZB-06 (non-M) works great for Zigbee. Nothing wrong with creating another mesh, though. I have an SLZB-06 in my garage creating a second Zigbee network because I had too many issues getting signal out there via routers .. connects up to the same MQTT instance and it was minimal work getting it setup (source: https://www.facebook.com/groups/HomeAssistant/permalink/3695417697396240/)
