Plug it into your AC
Most Midea-platform air conditioners have a small internal port meant for a Wi-Fi dongle. The SLWF-01 clicks straight into it — no wiring, no drilling, nothing to modify.
STEP 2
Join your Wi-Fi
It ships flashed with ESPHome. Connect it to your 2.4 GHz network once, and it appears in Home Assistant on its own.
STEP 3
Control from anywhere
Temperature, mode, fan speed and swing — from your phone, a dashboard, or an automation that cools the room before you get home.

Will it work with my air conditioner?
It fits air conditioners built on the Midea platform — the ones that accept a Midea-style Wi-Fi dongle in an internal port. That covers a great many brands (Electrolux, Toshiba, Comfee, Pioneer, Qlima and more). If you’re unsure, check whether your unit lists an optional Wi-Fi module.

Does it replace my remote?
No — it works alongside it. Use the remote, the SLWF-01, or a Home Assistant automation interchangeably; the module always reflects the current state.

Do I need the manufacturer’s app or an account?
No. It runs locally through Home Assistant over ESPHome — no cloud, no account, no subscription.

Is it hard to install?
