A click-in wired 10/100 Ethernet module for a rock-solid connection where Wi-Fi won’t do. It comes in two SoC variants — LAN8720 (RMII) for the A1-SLWF-09, and W5500 (SPI) for the SLZB-U2L and SLZB-09U — so the right one drops onto the right board.

Two variants.
The Ethernet add-on exists in two SoC flavours because different SMLIGHT boards expose different buses. Pick the one that matches your device — both give you the same wired 10/100 result.
LAN8720 · RMII
The RMII-based module for the modular LED controller, with PoE pass-through so power and data share one cable.
W5500 · SPI
The SPI-based module for the USB-to-Ethernet bridge — a self-contained MAC+PHY that needs only an SPI bus.
W5500 · SPI
W5500 variant → SLZB-09U
The same W5500 module for the SLZB-09U coordinator.

Both deliver a wired 10/100 link; the SoC differs because each host board exposes a different bus.

Which variant do I need?
Match it to your device: the LAN8720 (RMII) module for the A1-SLWF-09, the W5500 (SPI) module for the SLZB-U2L and SLZB-09U.

Why two different chips?
Different host boards expose different buses. The LAN8720 is a PHY on an RMII bus; the W5500 is a self-contained MAC+PHY on SPI. Each is the natural fit for its board.

Is it included?
No — the Ethernet module is an optional add-on, bought and clicked in separately.
