AAA SLWF-03 RICH WLED LED CONTROLLER

  • Latest update: 27-May-2023
  • Current stage: trial batch production
  • Planned sales start: 05 Jul 2023

 At the end of 2021, we launched A1-SLWF-02, an addressable LED strip controller that runs WLED by default.

The product became popular among our valuable Customers because of its low price, good performance, stability, very slim design and additional features like a sensor button.

In 2022 we decided to move further and make an LED controller with the same characteristics as A1-SLWF-02 but more powerful, based on ESP32 rather than ESP8266 SoC.

The war in Ukraine that started in Feb’22 changed our plans, so we came back to the idea of a new LED controller only in Nov’22. The controller was codenamed as “AAA SLWF-03”.

Our target for A1-SLWF-03 was:

  • tiny design;
  • use of SoC ESP32 instead pre-build module based on ESP32 (to decrease the costs and improve reliability);
  • built-in digital microphone to have a sound-reactive feature;
  • built-in IR receiver to support IR controls;
  • built-in sensor button to control the device by the sensor;
  • built-in UART/USB programmer to be able to flash the device without any additional tools and equipment;
  • Built-in ESP32 autoboot (autoflash) that allows the user to flash the device with just a “plug-and-flash” style; the user does not need to push any buttons etc.;
  • support 5V, 12V and 24V strips;
  • easy LED wires connection;
  • Universal powering – by both type-C and DC plug;
  • DIY pinouts allow DIY enthusiasts to improve the device or add new functions.
